Transhield's patented Adhesive Additive Delivery System (AAD) delivers Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) chemistry for the protection of packaged metals. The heat of the shrinking process warms the adhesive to a point where it emits 10 times the level of normal VCI vapors. Transhield with VCI removes moisture from stored products and helps eliminate corrosion for stored metal products. Also removes moisture from products during shipping. Transhield with VCI removes moisture from products during shipping and storage thereby helping to eliminate corrosion for stored metal products.

Conventional packaging products can be abrasive or cause condensation, are difficult to work with and don't provide the strength needed to package or cover unique products. Transhield covers are easier to apply than most other products on the market and in just a fraction of the time. Transhield develops custom-fit covers to match the need of the customer, from diesel engine shrink covers and train shrink wrap to buses to specialized pallet covers. Since the covers are custom fit, there is less taping, tucking and folding than there would be with other forms of packaging or covering. Simply install the cover, fix it to the product being covered and shrink it tightly. In some cases, Transhield can be reused, thus allowing it to be put on and taken off numerous times.

Transhield AAD (Adhesive Additive Delivery) System delivers VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) chemistry for the protection of packaged metals and offers several advantages over conventional VCI packaging materials.
The majority of the VCI chemistry is emitted inward to expose only the enclosed packaged environment to the VCI chemistry, allowing better control over metal passivating without wasting and emitting large amounts of VCI vapors (i.e., Transhield VCI emits one way).
The VCI in the adhesive is held away from the metal by the porous non woven allowing the VCI in Transhield to volatize before it reaches the metal, thus producing the optimal application of VCI to metal.
The shrinking process heats the adhesive up to a level where it will emit 10+ times the normal VCI vapors. The charges the packaged environment with a vapor pressure at the time of shrinking versus minutes or hours later.
All Transhield materials use a combination of Capillarity and Moisture-Surface-Tension to remove moisture and lower relative humidity to a level at which corrosion is much less likely to occur.
